An exhibition is planned for, (2012-2013) on Islamic Spain.
This is a natural progression for me from the highly successful 'Bridging Cultures' solo show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, given that I spend so much time in Spain and am completely fascinated by the enormous contribution to western culture bestowed on us by the Islamic Empire. 

 

This watercolour, was painted at the gate leading into the Alhambra in Granada. I first visited this beautiful example of Moorish architecture nearly 40 years ago and have witnessed its wonderful restoration in that time.  It never fails to thrill.

 

The painting was published in the August/September 2008 issue of the InternationalArtist Magazine and was a finalist in the competition 'Favourite Things'.

Also selected as a Finalist and awarded 'Outstanded watercolour in the January Fine Art Views Competition 2010. 'Exquisite attention to detail and fabulous colour are her trademarks' by 'Informed Collector'
